Learn moreDr. Ackland has practiced orthopedic surgery since 1985, treating the shoulder, knee and elbow across the full range of injury and wear. For more than twenty years a large part of that has been Massachusetts workers' compensation, and he is a certified expert examiner for the Department of Industrial Accidents.
He also takes referrals for revision surgery, where a previous operation has failed to resolve pain or restore function, and sees patients for second opinions before a recommended procedure.
He teaches arthroscopic technique internationally and has published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and the Journal of Pediatric Orthopedics.
